the atrium

The Atrium captures the charm of a European garden estate — a spacious open-air courtyard defined by its grand central fountain, manicured lawns, and cascading greenery. It’s the largest outdoor space at Shambala, offering both elegance and versatility for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and larger celebrations. As the sun sets, festoon lights and the scent of lavender transform the area into a truly atmospheric setting.

The Grotto is one of the Gold Coast Hinterland’s most distinctive ceremony locations — a man-made waterfall designed exclusively for Shambala Estate. Couples can exchange vows beneath the gentle cascade, surrounded by lush greenery and the soft sound of flowing water. Intimate, memorable, and entirely unique, it offers a setting unlike any other in Queensland.

A truly all-weather
ceremony space

Standing at the heart of Shambala Estate, the Chapel is a striking architectural statement — elegant, timeless and inviting. With soaring ceilings, beautiful natural acoustics and soft, filtered light, it creates a serene and memorable setting for wedding ceremonies and intimate gatherings alike.

A substantial covered portico adjoins the Chapel, ensuring your ceremony never has to feel compromised by rain or harsh sun. It provides a comfortable, sheltered space for guests to gather before the ceremony, while allowing the wedding party the privacy and space to arrive, prepare and make their entrance when the moment feels right.

As one of South East Queensland’s largest non-denominational wedding chapels, the Chapel can seat up to 144 guests, with larger wedding celebrations of up to 200 guests possible by special arrangement.
